In August, we are discussing "Rachel Calof's Story" by Rachel Calof.   It is a memoir of a Jewish homesteader on the Northern Plain between 1894 and 1904.  It provides a fascinating account of Jews living a life different than our typical view of Jews during that time.  Please feel free to join us even if you have not read the book.  It should be a very interesting discussion about Jewish life that most of us never knew existed.
