Religious School Office Support
Date/Time: Sundays from 10:00am-12:30pm. Location: TKE Volunteer Type: Adults
Support the TKE Religious School on Sunday mornings by answering phones, fielding questions from parents, helping deliver supplies, and other tasks as needed. If you can only do part of the morning, that’s ok. Administrative skills helpful.
Friday night Shabbat Ushers
Date/Time: Friday evenings 6:45-8:45 pm. Location: Lobby/Sanctuary Volunteer Type: Adults
Help TKE be a more welcoming community by greeting Shabbat worshippers, handing out prayer books, and answering questions. We are looking to build a team of people who would each volunteer once a month. Training will be required.
Shabbat Oneg Set-Up
Date/Time: Fridays at 6:15pm. Location: Social Hall Volunteer Type(s): Adults, Teens (with adult)
Help us set up Shabbat Oneg: Put goodies brought for Oneg onto platters, arrange tables in social hall, set up food and drinks. We are looking to build a team of volunteers, each who would volunteer once a month.
Shabbat Oneg Breakdown
Date/Time: Fridays after Oneg 9:00-9:30pm. Location: Social Hall Volunteer Type(s): Adults, Teens (with adult)
Assist with the break-down after Shabbat evening Oneg. Clear buffet and pack unused items for later use (if applicable). Clear drink tables. Restock all paper goods for later use. Need to be willing to stay until the end of Oneg. Takes about 30 minutes. We are looking to build a team of volunteers, each who would volunteer once a month.
TKE Caring Committee
Date/Time: Flexible Location: From Home Volunteer Type: Adults
Help us create a caring community amongst TKE. Make follow-up calls to those who have been sick, check in to see if people need more support, bring a meal over to a family, be a friendly voice to say hi, etc.
General Program Planning
Date/Time: Recurring Location: Some from home, some at temple Volunteer Types: Adults
We are always looking for volunteers to help us plan temple-wide events and holiday celebrations. The commitment can be short-tern (a single event) or longer-term (helping with holidays throughout the year). Sign up to volunteer for this group, and someone will be in touch to see what works best for your schedule.
Volunteer in the Gift Shop
Date/Time: Sundays 10 am - 12:30 pm. Location: TKE Volunteer Type: Adults, Teens
Help staff the TKE gift shop on Sundays when Religious School is in session. Training to use the store system will be provided. you are not committing to every Sunday, but once a month or so. In addition to adults, responsible teens are encouraged to volunteer.
