High Holy Days at TKE

For anyone displaced by Hurricane Helene or Milton - TKE welcomes you to observe Yom Kippur with us. Contact Cindy Livingston via email or call our office at 770-973-3533 for more information.

 

Our Kol Nidre service begins Friday, October 11 at 8:00 p.m. If you are attending in-person, your tickets arrive via email at mid-day on Friday; bring your mobile or print-at-home tickets with you to check-in.

Our Yom Kippur morning service begins Saturday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. If you are attending in-person, your tickets arrive via email at mid-day on Friday; bring your mobile or print-at-home tickets with you to check-in.

We also invite you to participate in our Yom Kippur afternoon programming that includes:

  • 1:00 p.m. Afternoon Enrichment - study sessions with our rabbis
  • 3:30 p.m. Family Service geared for families with elementary-aged children
  • 4:30 p.m. Afternoon service*
  • 5:10 p.m. TKE October 7 Observance*
  • 5:30 p.m. Yizkor Service**
  • 6:15 p.m. Neilah (Concluding) service*
  • Community Break-Fast immediately following - Info & RSVP below.
*Beginning at 4:30 p.m., our services will be available via livestream HERE.

Community Break-Fast

Following a beautiful Ne'ilah (Closing) service on Yom Kippur, stay with us as we break the Yom Kippur fast together immediately following the conclusion of services on Saturday, October 12. Bagels, cream cheese, and drinks will be provided by TKE. An RSVP is requested by Thursday, October 10.

    Atlanta Pride Parade Watch Party and Bagel Brunch

    Join TKE for Atlanta Pride in October! Every year, SOJOURN coordinates the Jewish community’s presence at the Atlanta Pride Parade and we are proud to participate. This year, we’ll be celebrating at SOJOURN’s Pride Parade Watch Party and Bagel Brunch! There will be nosh, Pride-themed crafts and games for little ones, a big screen to watch the floats and the chance to be together in the midst of the Pride festivities.

    Save a Life! Donate Blood!

    Start 5785 off by fulfilling the greatest commandment -- saving a life! The LifeSouth BloodMobile will be in the TKE parking lot from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Give the gift of life and help your neighbors in need! Advance registration is recommended, though walk-ins are welcome. You will also receive a long-sleeve shirt for donating!

    L'Chaim Sunday Supper in the Sukkah

    L'Chaim, TKE's group for active seniors, looks forward to welcoming everyone to the Temple Kol Emeth sukkah for a lovely partial potluck dinner. What is a "partial potluck"? TKE will provide chicken and salmon for main dishes. Everyone attending is asked to bring a side, dessert, or drink. Please RSVP below.

We’ll bake together in Karen Melnick’s Roswell kitchen. This intimate gathering is available on two dates and space is limited—reserve your spot today! The L’Chaim Cooking Club is supported by a Gather Grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.

    Join us to celebrate Sukkot in our beautiful TKE Sukkah with a Pizza Food Truck and fun! We'll shake the lulav and etrog throughout the evening, so come when it is most convenient for you! It's only $5 a person for pizza, salad and dessert.

    Simchat Torah and Shabbat Celebration

    Join us as we celebrate Simchat Torah and Shabbat together as a community on Friday evening, October 25. We will begin with our intergenerational service at 6:15, where we’ll dance with the Torah scrolls, sing, and celebrate. After the service, everyone is invited to a Torah-themed Taco Bar for dinner.
