Welcome Rabbi Foster!

Rabbi Chase Foster has arrived in Marietta, and he and his family are settling in nicely. He has officially begun his tenure as our senior rabbi.

There will be many opportunities to meet Rabbi Foster over the coming weeks and months.  See details below in "Upcoming Events" to learn about the July opportunities.

If you’re interested in scheduling a one-on-one session, if you or your group are interested in planning an event with Rabbi Foster this Fall, or if you have any questions about any of this information, please email the Transition Committee at rabbitransition@kolemeth.net.

Leo Frank Memorial Service

Sunday, August 18, 5:00 p.m. at TKE

Justice Delayed is Justice Denied! Join Rabbi Chase Foster and Rabbi Steven Lebow along with special guests, Governor Roy Barnes and Cobb County District Attorney Flynn D. Broady, Jr., at a memorial service for Leo Frank, on the occasion of the 109th Yahrzeit of his passing. Frank was wrongly convicted of having murdered Mary Phagan in 1913 and was lynched in 1915 a few miles from the Marietta Square. His lynching was the most egregious act of antisemitism in American history and he has never been exonerated for a crime he did not commit. Let us continue to work to clear the name of this innocent man. “There is no statute of limitations on doing the right thing!”

Support Family Promise Week at TKE!

TKE is looking forward to hosting three families through the Family Promise program from Sunday, July 21, through Sunday, July 28. We can’t do it without YOUR help to make their week cheerful! Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, cooking meals, and staying overnight (training required to interact with the families). Make this week more meaningful for our guests and for yourself and join us for this important volunteer opportunity!

Sponsor an Oneg at TKE!

Celebrate someone or something special in your life - a milestone birthday or anniversary, a new baby, or a proud accomplishment - with your TKE family. Your sponsorship demonstrates your love for your family and provides invaluable support of TKE. Your sponsorship will be listed in the Tekiah (our weekly e-blast) and in the printed Shabbat program.
