Traditional Shabbat Services

Experience the timeless rhythms of Shabbat morning prayer in our community’s service. Like all TKE services, Saturday mornings feature vibrant music and an upbeat, participatory nature. Whether the melodies are familiar friends or beautiful discoveries, you'll find a warm community gathered in song and worship. When our community has a B. Mitzvah, this is the service that our B. Mitzvah joins to help lead and teach.

Shabbat Prayground

Looking for something different? Our experimental Shabbat Prayground experiences invite you to encounter Jewish prayer and practice in creative, interactive ways. These special gatherings happen throughout the year and are always open to our entire community—because spiritual exploration should be playful, too.

Kiddish Klub (Monthly)

Young children (ages 0-5), and your siblings and grown-ups, this one's for you! Our monthly Kiddish Klub Shabbat brings together kids, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles - the whole family! - for age-appropriate Shabbat songs, stories, play, and community. It's never too early to start building Jewish memories.

Community Groups on Shabbat

Throughout the year, various TKE groups gather on Saturday mornings and afternoons to celebrate Shabbat, build connections, and strengthen our community. From youth groups to Sisterhood, Men's Club to social action opportunities, these gatherings offer meaningful ways to connect with others who share your interests and values. Check our calendar to see what's happening—there's always a way to find your people at TKE.

Havdallah: Closing Shabbat Together

Havdallah is the beautiful ceremony that marks the end of Shabbat as the sun sets on Saturday evening. Using wine, spices, and a braided candle, we separate the sacred time of Shabbat from the ordinary week ahead—acknowledging the transition while carrying Shabbat's sweetness with us.

At TKE, Havdallah is observed at all our Saturday afternoon and evening events. Whenever we gather as Shabbat comes to a close, we pause together to mark this meaningful moment with song, ritual, and community.
