Worship at TKE
When our community gathers for services, we get to do some of our most important things together—we sing, we pray, we eat, we learn, we celebrate life's joys, we comfort the mourners, we make new friendships, and deepen relationships.
Whether you're deeply familiar with Jewish prayer or stepping into a synagogue for the first time, we're glad you're here. Our worship experiences are designed to be accessible, meaningful, and welcoming to everyone—no matter where you are on your spiritual journey or how much Hebrew you know (or don't know).
We believe there's no single "right way" to do Jewish. That's why we offer multiple ways to engage with our tradition, from traditional services to experimental experiences, from quiet study to joyful song.

Interfaith families: You belong here
We warmly welcome interfaith families and partners of all backgrounds. Our community was founded by seven families, most of whom were interfaith families! Caring for you and supporting you and your family on your journey is our journey too. You don't need to be Jewish to be part of our community or to participate in our services. We're here to support your family's journey, whatever that looks like for you.
Many members of our community come from diverse backgrounds, and we embrace the richness you bring to our congregation. If you have questions about what to expect, we're here to help.
New to jewish prayer?
First time? That's wonderful! Here are a few things that might help you feel comfortable:
- You don't need to know Hebrew—prayer books include transliteration and English translations
- We strive to be really good about ensuring that any words that aren't in our prayer book are published in our Friday Flyer or on a song sheet
- There's no official dress code, though some people wear business casual
- Feel free to participate as much or as little as feels right to you, though we would love you to sing with us. If you don’t yet know the words, your la la las perfectly harmonizes with us
- Don't worry about knowing when to stand or sit—just follow along with the congregation and/or the instructions of our service leaders
Have questions? Ask! Our community loves welcoming newcomers
