A Year of meaning, connection, and joy

The Jewish calendar is rich with opportunities to gather, celebrate, reflect, and remember. At TKE, we mark the full cycle of Jewish holidays throughout the year—from the energy and introspection of the High Holy Days to the raucous joy of Purim, from the familiar melodies of Passover to the sweetness of Rosh Hashanah.

No matter who you are or what you need, there's a way to celebrate at TKE. Whether you're looking for large communal gatherings or intimate connections with others at your life stage, our holidays offer moments to deepen your Jewish practice and strengthen your ties to community.

At TKE, we welcome people at all levels of knowledge and practice. Come as you are, learn as you go, and discover which celebrations speak to you. We're here to help you navigate the Jewish calendar and find meaningful ways to mark these special times. Whether you're exploring Judaism for the first time, reconnecting after time away, or deepening your existing practice, there's a place for you in our holiday celebrations.

Celebrate together: large gatherings

Some holidays call for the whole community to come together. Throughout the year, TKE hosts large-scale services, festive meals, and celebrations that fill our building with music, prayer, laughter, and connection. These are the moments when you'll feel the full energy of our community—singing together, sharing meals, and marking sacred time as one.

From High Holy Day services that inspire reflection and renewal to joyous festival celebrations that bring families and friends together, these gatherings are at the heart of our communal life.

finding your people: Agesand stages programming

We know that different moments in life call for different kinds of celebration. That's why we offer programming designed for specific ages and stages—creating spaces where you can connect with others navigating similar life experiences.

Whether you're parenting young children, raising teens, building your career, entering retirement, or anywhere in between, there are holiday celebrations tailored to where you are in life. These smaller, more intimate gatherings offer the chance to celebrate in ways that resonate with your current journey while building meaningful relationships with others who share your stage of life.

auxiliary communities

Our Sisterhood, Men's Club, Young-ish Adults, Youth Groups, and other groups within TKE also mark Jewish holidays with their own special gatherings and celebrations. These community organizations offer additional ways to observe holidays, often with unique traditions, programming, and social connections that complement our congregation-wide celebrations.

Check in with these groups to discover how they're celebrating throughout the year—you might find the perfect fit for your holiday observance.

Yizkor: remembering together

Four times a year—on Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Passover, and Shavuot—we gather for Yizkor, the memorial service where we remember and honor loved ones who have died. These sacred moments bring our community together in shared grief, memory, and support.

If you're mourning the loss of someone dear to you, you don't have to do it alone. Our Yizkor gatherings provide a space to say their names and find comfort in a community of mourners that understands the weight of loss and the importance of remembering.
