Torah, TV, Ethics and Me Class on June 18th & 26th
We all watch television. We often hear it referred to as the "boob tube." It might surprise you that many of the shows we watch have important messages to share if we just know how to look for and find those messages. More surprising is the fact that many of the show we watch have Jewish writers who draw from their own experiences in expressing their views and creating their stories. This will be a tv centered mini-course where we will watch excerpts from some of the shows we all know and (some) love. As we watch, we will be centered on the messages they send, just how Jewish are these messages, and are they worth the time we spend watching. We just might alter our watching patterns when we finish this learning experience. Classes are Tuesdays, June 18, 26 at 7:00 pm and are taught by Rabbi Boxt & Dr. Sandy Andron.
