Family Promise


TKE is proud to join with Family Promise of Cobb County to shelter and support homeless families with children.  There are so many ways to help make this mitzvah a success.  Click here for more information and opportunities to assist. 

Front Office

The front office has many opportunities for regular and occasional support

Work at the Front Desk [Four hour shifts (9-1 or 1-5)] 
Answer phones and do light office work

Paper Work and Mailing Assistance [Several hours, daytime, monthly]
Assist getting The Voice and other mailers organized and mailed.

Shopping for Oneg [1 hour, on your own time]
Take a shopping list to purchase supplies for Oneg .  
Send an email to Denise Jacobs with “Shopping for Oneg” in the subject line.

Oneg Set Up [30-60 minutes on occasional Fridays] 3
Assist with setting up Oneg and plating food when there is no B'nai Mitzvah.

Religious School

Whether or not you have kids in the Religious School, you can offer your support

Help at Front Desk Sundays [9:30 – 12]
Assist Carol with organizational and paperwork tasks.

Weekly Shopper [1 hour on your own time]
Take a shopping list to purchase supplies for the Religious School.  

Additional Opportunities 

Assist with Youth Programs [A few hours at a variety of events] 
You don’t need to have kids in the youth program to enjoy being a part of these events!   

Caring Committee [As much or as little time as you’d like] 
Join the Caring Committee and you will be emailed opportunities to help congregants who need a little assistance.
