Ritual Committee

Temple Kol Emeth's Ritual Committee is a lay-lead group of TKE members who assist TKE Clergy with planning and implementing Jewish holiday programming. The ritual committee assists the clergy by recruiting, organizing, and assisting with training for High Holiday Torah and Haftorah readers. The committee organizes the annual cycle of Yizkor services and support the Saturday Shabbat morning services on weeks when there is no B’nai Mitzvah. The members of the committee plan programming for the “Havdallah Happening” series that accompany Jewish holiday like Sukkot, Tu B’shvat, Purim, or Shavuot. Individual committee members write the weekly “Touch of Torah” piece that is found on the Shabbat Bulletin. The committee also write a monthly article for the TKE Voice that focuses on an upcoming holiday or other topic that provides a deeper understanding of some element of our Jewish faith or culture.

The ritual committee meets approximately once per quarter and is always open to new members.

So, if you have an interest in the in’s and out’s of Judaism and want to have an impact on policy and practice at TKE, please contact the current Ritual Committee Chair. We’d be happy to have you!!
